Notts County Football Club

Founded in 1862, Notts County is widely recognised as the oldest professional association football club in the world. The Magpies play at Meadow Lane in the Meadows, just across the River Trent from Nottingham Forest's City Ground, and matchdays bring a wave of supporters — and trade — to the surrounding pubs and businesses. For the neighbourhood, the club is both a sporting institution and a fixture of local life that stretches back more than a century and a half.
