Set in 270 acres of parkland on the River Trent just ten minutes from the city centre, Holme Pierrepont is home to the National Water Sports Centre and one of the UK's premier watersports facilities, including a top white water rafting course, a 2,000m regatta rowing lake and a calmer lagoon for kayaking and paddleboarding. You can book rafting, kayaking, raft building, wakeboarding, high ropes, laser tag and the Aqua Park, or simply walk and cycle the park's free trails, use the playground and Sky Tykes low ropes course for little ones, and visit the lakeside cafe. It suits active families, thrill-seekers and older children, with a campsite and gym on site too. Many activities are bookable and seasonal, so check ahead.
