Highfields Park & Boating Lake
A Grade II-listed lakeside park beside the University of Nottingham with rowing boats, adventure golf and lovely landscaped walks.
Highfields is a 121-acre Heritage Lottery-restored park next to the University of Nottingham's University Park campus, centred on an ornamental boating lake with a sandy lido area, croquet lawn and woodland walks. From spring to autumn you can hire canoes and rowing boats on the lake (run by Cloud9 Pursuits) or play adventure golf, and there's a cafe and the Lakeside Arts centre on site. Free to enter and easily reached by tram, it's ideal for families, couples and anyone wanting an active or relaxed afternoon by the water.
