Museum
Nottingham Industrial Museum
A volunteer-run museum in Wollaton Hall's stable block celebrating Nottinghamshire's textiles, transport, mining and engineering heritage.
Located in the courtyard stables beside Wollaton Hall, this museum tells the story of the industries that built the region, from lace and hosiery machinery to steam engines, transport and coal mining. On regular 'Steaming Days' the historic engines are fired up and running, which is a particular draw for families and enthusiasts. Low-cost entry (children free) and easy to combine with a walk in the deer park; open Thursday and weekends.
