The University of Nottingham's public arts centre in Highfields Park, with free galleries, a museum, the Djanogly Theatre and a year-round events programme.
Set by the lake on the University of Nottingham's University Park campus, Lakeside Arts spans several buildings housing the Djanogly, Weston and Wallner galleries, the University of Nottingham Museum of regional archaeology, the 225-seat Djanogly Theatre and a recital hall. Visual art exhibitions and the museum are free to visit, while its broad programme of drama, dance, comedy, jazz, classical and world music, literary events and family performances is ticketed and often accessibly priced. With cafes, a craft shop and lakeside walks nearby, it suits families, art lovers and a relaxed day out. A short tram or bus ride west of the city centre.
