Robin Hood Statue

Nottingham's most photographed landmark, a bronze statue of the legendary outlaw beneath the castle walls.

Unveiled in 1952 by the Duchess of Portland, this bronze figure of Robin Hood drawing his bow stands on the lawn beneath Nottingham Castle on Castle Road, his arrow aimed pointedly at the gatehouse and the establishment within. It has grown into a small cluster of statues, plaques and reliefs depicting the legend, and it's the city's most popular free photo stop. A must for visitors and families, it pairs perfectly with a trip to the castle and Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem just along the road.
