Wheelgate Park is an all-weather family theme park on the edge of Sherwood Forest, with eight adventure zones, over 30 rides and attractions, two large indoor play centres, an animal farm and an outdoor water park. Highlights include the Lunar Launch drop tower, the High Hazel Mine Train coaster and themed areas such as Alien Galaxy and the Land of the Pharaohs. It is aimed squarely at families with younger children (under-95cm go free), making it a good full-day outing. Roughly 30 minutes from Nottingham.
